Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.

~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.

~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.

~ 3. Use spoiler tags. This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.

~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.

~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.

~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.

~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'

~ 8. No Political Upheaval. Political commentary is allowed, but please keep discussions civil. Read here for our community's expectations.

Fun will now commence.

It's a bummer, but then Pike's story has an end we've been approaching. Albeit, it was something like 10 years total before his destined disaster, so there could have been a few more stories to tell. At least they have some time to try and wrap things up.

A bummer? Sorry, but I’m solidly of the mind that they got exactly as many seasons as they should have, and that this is a good thing.

We’re no longer in the era of television with 22 episodes per season and seven or eight or nine seasons. Five seasons of the show feels like an excellent fit.

That may be true in general, but it's not a hard and fast rule. Do you really think Lower Decks was all tapped out? Another season or two would inevitably see them jumping the shark?

I get why seasons make more sense with 6-12 eps than 24, but I don't see why the number of seasons needs to be shorter as well.

I'm pretty happy with how Lower Decks ended with us wanting more instead of getting run into the ground. It's not so much tapped out as... Done. I think SNW will be too.

Yeah I'm happy with the ending too, but I just don't think having another season or two before that time would make me wish they had less of it.

The shows back in the day like TNG had some crap episodes here and there, but that's because they were rushing 26 episodes per season. It's not like all of season 7 was bad because they should've been done before that.
