Basically the title. Zenith makes some pretty stellar and innovative watches imo. I also love their history and style. However, the brand recognition outside of watch lovers is pretty dismal. And while I generally buy watches for me, I do want the watches I buy (particularly those I’m paying $5k-10k for) to have some brand recognition among the public. What happened with Zenith in this respect? Or am I giving the public too little credit?

If you don’t already wear a watch, why would you know about watch brands?

Nobody’s rapped about wearing a Zenith

I don’t wear makeup, but I can probably name the top 10 or so makeup brands. It’s all about global marketing or not. Zenith has just been crap about marketing, I just don’t understand why.

A lot more people wear makeup than watches.

It’s the same logic. And just for kicks, I looked it up. 32% of 18+ Americans regularly wear a watch (not even counting casual wearers), and only 39% of women wear makeup. Assuming only a few percent of men even dable in makeup, actually way more Americans wear watches than makeup in terms of population.
