I know achievements will dictate whether he'll belong or not but as a player, and the skillset he possesses, do you think he will be talked about like how Steph Curry is being talked about as a shoe-in for Top 10 status?
I think yes because at the core of his game, he is a Top 5 offensive player of all time and it would've been sealed had he won MVP and FMVP this year (what a travesty giving it to Embiid). He is statistically as impactful as Michael Jordan and that says a lot.
Looking at his game, he's the perfect offensive center who can do it all minus the athletic feats. He's like Magic Johnson but he's a more reliable and more efficient scorer who mainly playmakes from the high post.
The thing with Jokic is, his game is built to last. It isn't reliant on athleticism and will be a consistent threat unless he retires early. I honestly think he'll be in the mix for Top 10 when all is said and done.
You can go ahead and remove points 1, 2 and 4.
You don't need to push this poor Jokic victim narrative it's actually really simple. To make the top 10 ever you need stupid longevity, which Jokic most likely won't have.
Bro didn't 3peat MVPs because he's not a brother. NBA posted graphics to "NBA is back on Tuesday" and didn't put Jokic on there, I know you don't understand this but a guy who gives interviews that sound like he doesn't give a fuck aren't good for business and also not good for media coverage.
It's a good thing media coverage doesn't determine this.
True the media would never influence public perception in any topic.
If they can influence yours that's on you.
True, because every other NBA doesn't build their opinion on what they see in the media or on social media, they build it on their years of experience as players and watching film.
That surely isn't delusional.
Like I said, if they can influence yours, that's on you
Most likely is an exaggeration
