I always struggled with the corner shots because I have less of a spacial reference with the side of the backboard facing me. Shooting from the top of the key should be much easier, no? I always had the most success with the 45 degree angle one, right between the key and the corner. Maybe that's just me though.

I think one of the things that might be throwing him off is that only the NBA three is shorter. College and high school 3s aren’t shorter in the corner.

NBA three is short in the corner because there would not be enough room between the out of bounds line and the three point line if it was the full distance. That is not a problem with college 3 point line.
