What do you find absurd? Literally all he said is that winning a ring and being financially set means he can focus on enjoying his work.

Basketball media is crazy now. Poole's focused on the upcoming season, someone asks him what he thinks about being in Washington, he answers "Yeah I like it here, already got a ring, got paid, gunna play ball" probably with the same level of thought as if you asked what he wants for lunch that day

Some random journalist puts out a 2,000 word essay of Jordan Poole legacy quotes and then social media talks about how he's just a bus rider

I don’t think his legacy is “taken care of”. He can go down as a guy that peaked for a season or two and never lived up to that. Or he could a star player the Warriors regret letting go. Or anywhere in between.
