You're not wrong. but that sounds like before the revolution, afterwards, all those rich people will have zero resources to finance a revolution. and them being in jail and isolated from society is likely enough for them to not make any trouble.

I'll read about the Paris Commune later.

Unfortunately succeeding in a revolution doesn't in itself change the relationships of production. Capitalism will still exist until it's deliberately dismantled. You can jail every ceo but if you jail every middle manager everything will just stop working. And it's not like they're going to be standing around waiting for you to arrest them. They're going to be planning and prepping that resistance. You'll never find every weapons cache. You'll never touch their money unless they literally have it under their beds. When the revolution succeeds in the US it's still going to be the exact same country, you'll just be nominally in charge of it. The entire structure of that state will undermine you and you'll have to suffer it because you can't just replace it with nothing.
