The only way that we can actually achieve liberation is if everybody actually is treated as fully human and has the same opportunities.

I may be a bit too radicalized, but that's a statement I don't 100% agree with. The actions of the rich have radicalized me to wish them to feel what it's like to be a slave, by becoming an actual slave.

maybe you’re not radicalized enough

You need more radicalising, and a reminder that to them an average job would feel like slavery until they are remediated (which they deserve because they're still people).

I 100% understand that feeling.

however, if we start putting punitive measures into our society, it'll only end up recreating the same hierarchical society we are trying to fix.

Loosing their god like privileges is a massive punishment already. not nearly as much as they deserve though.

When they get out after a reactionary movement coheres around them and all the other leaders of that class, they WILL kill you.

So hopefully you're not making the decisions because you're not learning from the mistakes of your predecessors

my biggest fear is that if we build a society with a violent punishing system, said system will remain and be used against the people by the new people in power.

not trying to be naive, just cautious.

Class conflict doesn't end when the revolution succeeds in overthrowing the power of the capitalist. In fact that's when it intensifies.

Imagine the wrath of a spoiled rich kid when threatened with losing their privilege. Now imagine that same little shit when someone DOES demote them from 'a person' to being just another of the masses. Their indignance, their entitlement, and their bloodthirst will be unrivaled. They would nuke the world to see no one else gets it.

Now think about all the MAGA people in the suburbs. There's a militia army out there that's a turnkey away from being activated. They WILL conduct sabotage and violence. They WILL overthrow your new project just like you did, but they'll have the rich kid giving them everything they need to do it. Along with every rich kid in every other country that's still capitalist.

YOU MUST combat this. There is no other way. The capitalist class, once dethroned, must be RUTHLESSLY suppressed.

Look what happened at the end of the Paris Commune. That's what's waiting for all of us if we don't.

You're not wrong. but that sounds like before the revolution, afterwards, all those rich people will have zero resources to finance a revolution. and them being in jail and isolated from society is likely enough for them to not make any trouble.

I'll read about the Paris Commune later.

Unfortunately succeeding in a revolution doesn't in itself change the relationships of production. Capitalism will still exist until it's deliberately dismantled. You can jail every ceo but if you jail every middle manager everything will just stop working. And it's not like they're going to be standing around waiting for you to arrest them. They're going to be planning and prepping that resistance. You'll never find every weapons cache. You'll never touch their money unless they literally have it under their beds. When the revolution succeeds in the US it's still going to be the exact same country, you'll just be nominally in charge of it. The entire structure of that state will undermine you and you'll have to suffer it because you can't just replace it with nothing.
