Miami at 11 after making the finals is so disrespectful

It was a fugazi run built largely on shooting luck.

It has been analyzed though - IIRC the Heat’s ECF was one of if not the greatest statistical outlier series in regard to perimeter shooting of all time.

Not trying to discredit how great the Heat were in the playoffs, but we also can’t ignore that they were the 8th seed and seemingly didn’t really improve this offseason.

I don’t think it’s really possible to rank them right now without pissing people off one way or another.

They put the Knicks and Cavs above the heat? That is legit crazy.9

They lost a lot of their shooting core to. But Spoelstra definitely cooking something new up that should merit top 10

their shooting core

We lost Strus -> .535 eFG & 11.5ppg and Gabe -> .505 eFG & 9.4ppg. Yea thats a killer shooting core...

No it’s not lol their main rivals both armed up and Miami got nothing, actually lost some decent role players

Nobody’s arguing them over Milwaukee or Boston genius. They put the damn Cavs, Knicks and 76ers above them.

76ers I get, but with the Cavs and Knicks I'd love to hear an argument that puts those two below a team that finished worse than them both last regular season and didn't improve their roster beyond adding Josh Richardson and drafting an older, seemingly NBA ready rookie.

The argument is that they’ve reached the finals twice in a span of 3 seasons with the same core while those 2 teams haven’t even sniffed the second round.
