They were in the play-in last year and Lebron + AD are a year older ...
Vincent & Prince were nice pick ups, but that doesn't boost them to 5th in the league ...

Pretty fair ranking.
Knicks are way too high, but the Top 5 are essentially correct.
Can't wait for the warriors to win it all again.
If the Lakers are the 5th best team this year, that means there are 26 bad teams.
I double dog dare these talking heads to hop off the Clippers dick just one time for one of these rankings

I do love how the Celtics can have the best odds to win the finals for years in a row and only make the actual finals once and even then get manhandled by the warriors.

Clippers surprised me in preseason. They're much more defensively polished than last season. I'd go much higher than #10 for them.

Why are Lakers still that high? Lebron ain’t getting any younger.
I’ve been thinking the same thing. The media has had them so high but I don’t see it. Lebron is old and injury prone, AD has a big history with injuries himself too. That leaves you with AR and Russel as your next 2 guys. Which I don’t know if AR can step up to that role yet. And with the new participation rule this season they won’t get any “load management” games. If they can remain healthy I can see it but I’m just unsure at this point.
Lakers were playing some of the best basketball to end the season and they got better in the off season. I despise them and hope they go 0-82 but they are going to be good.
It’s a when Father Time meet Lebron/ is ad healthy

Yea as much as I think Lebron is still a top player he does not look like the athletic freak we are used to seeing and unless AD takes over I don't have much confidence in their team. Their bench is so overrated outside of Gabe/Rui/Prince they are not as deep as people seem to think for the regular season.

- They have the best defensive player in the league.
- LeBron is still really good.
- They have a great starting 5 that complements AD and LeBron very well.
- They have more wing and backcourt depth than in previous seasons.
- They just made the WCF with mostly the same group and have more continuity now than they did then.
As someone who watched one Lakers preseason game I can conclusively say that their depth does not look good at all.

Miami at 11 after making the finals is so disrespectful

They lost a lot of their shooting core to. But Spoelstra definitely cooking something new up that should merit top 10

Nobody’s arguing them over Milwaukee or Boston genius. They put the damn Cavs, Knicks and 76ers above them.
76ers I get, but with the Cavs and Knicks I'd love to hear an argument that puts those two below a team that finished worse than them both last regular season and didn't improve their roster beyond adding Josh Richardson and drafting an older, seemingly NBA ready rookie.

Bucks ARENT better then the Celtics
I don’t think they are either but the top 3 is so interchangeable that it’s not worth even arguing with
Still think the Suns being #4 is a little high personally, but this is the correct top 5
Their offense should be ridiculous.
I would put Phoenix over Boston but this 5 seems very reasonable.
