"a completely dislodged front wheel" .. raises two questions:

  1. What was the state of the vehicle before it started down the road?
  2. What speed was it travelling at when the wheel "dislodged".

I'm guessing that the driver was poorly prepared to drive on outback roads, which is not unusual for pavement adventurers who use their massive truck to drive to the coffee shop to buy a soy latte with extra sprinkles.

I've driven on some horrendous roads around Australia and from what the photo shows, that road looks pretty reasonable.
