Highest points ever for a Bucks player in a debut. Was insanely clutch in this close game - as a Bucks fan I couldn't be happier right now.

I don't want to shit on anybody's Shreddies, but I don't like the look of this.

It's one game, so not a big deal, and they got the W.

But I see a problematic pattern here.

Giannis is the most dominant force in the league.

Him and Dame running the pick-and-roll? The goal should be getting it back to Giannis with Dame taking it to the hole if there is an open lane.

Sure... FGA look similar: 22 Giannis; 20 Dame.

But Dame took 17 free throws.

Giannis had 9

If Dame is taking the lion's share of the shots, this will not be good long term for the Bucks.

And it looks already like Dame is trying to assert himself.

I'm sure as the season moves along, there will be a better balance, but it this is it? I'm not impressed with a 1-point win and Giannis shooting under .500 from the field.

And if this team just runs like Dame Time... well.... we've seen how that end in Portland for over a decade now.

Dude what? Giannis is obviously one of the best players ever, but tonight, we was awful. Terrible decision making, bad shot choices, constantly going 1v3. This team won in spite of Giannis tonight.

The goal should never be to do one thing or the other...the goal should be to make the correct play....if they trap dame, dish it off to giannis and let him play downhill 4v3...if they try to stick to giannis, dame lets it fly or drives.

We'll see as the season progresses.

As soon as this deal was made, my concern was Dame ability to defer.

It may be unjustified, but the season will tell.
