I have to be honest man I dont think Dame is happy with this partnership he wanted to be with Bam his BFF win or lose.....it's just in his eyes i can see the truth

Giannis is the BEST partner he can have but the truth is deep down he only wanted Miami

Dame is like the girl who married the guy with a good job who's loving and caring and will treat her like a Queen and she loves him for this but deep down she doesn't love him like her ex-boyfriend her one real love the passion just isnt there with this responsible guy she married.

Dame is Rose Dawson from the movie Titanic he wants Jack (Miami) but that cant happen Jack (Miami) is dead that ship has sailed

Now Dame can have a long happy life with this new partner (like Rose did) but he'll always dream about what might have been with Jack/Miami

lmao this is terrible as far as fanfics go but I agree with your general sentiment that Dame was set on Miami and isn't thrilled with the outcome but he'll make the best of it because that's his best and only option.
