In the caption of the Instagram post, he wrote, "An old white woman got on the train and immediately pointed at me and told me to correct how I was sitting. I refused, so she went to the conductor and complained. The conductor called the police and stopped the train," he said.

O'Keefe also says in the caption that the friend of the woman who called the police had said to him, "You're not the minority anymore."

A separate video about the incident has been uploaded by the user, Nalae, on TikTok, where it has quickly gone viral, having been viewed over 160,000 times as of reporting.

They said I was disturbing the peace by not leaving the train. They pulled me off the train and arrested me without even talking to the Karen who reported the one black person on the train. On the platform, the police detained me and interrogated me. Only black folks stayed nearby and recorded the arrest. When I demanded a lawyer and reminded them they didn't even take a statement from the woman who complained they eventually released me. This country is growing more psycho by the day. What will you do about it?"

No. I'm not saying anything of the sort. What I'm saying is that you're full of shit, making stuff up that you have no proof of, and then you play the parrot, repeating your shit when pressed.

Unless you have a source that the dude violated ANYTHING that ISN'T that the old lady said so, present it.

And this is the sixth time we've made this circuit.

Disengage.

I'm quoting the conductor and MTA policy confirming which states that the scenario the conductor witnessed is a violation of MTA policy.

At no point did I quote the old lady. You're confused. Also MTA policy, and the conductor's statement given as a direct quote in a major publication IS a source.

Your scenario requires the old lady to be in charge of the MTA and is bizarre when repeated back to you. All because you can't admit to being wrong, which is truly pathetic of you.

Disengage? You're free to disengage. No one is making you reply.

That's not a rule on Lemmy.world

With that said, you called them full of shit at the same time you told them to disengage.

You made your bed. Lie in it.

Even O'Keefe states that he refused to sit right, and was yelling that he did nothing illegal - which demonstrates that he (like you) did not understand the situation.

Wrong instance. There's no such rule on this instance

[–] Flatworm7591@lemmy.dbzer0.com 0 points 5 days ago (1 children)

I'm aware. But as stated:

The disengage rule only applies within our instance communities as we can't enforce it outside. However we urge you to respect the disengage rule when you see it used outside our instance as a positive practice.

I can't enforce it here but is there any harm in encouraging people to respect it?
