Amateur. MAC user. Previously PC/Dos user of Elements and Topaz neither of which I feel work for me on the MAC. Looking for one time purchase, not subscription. Have tried the packages mentioned in the title and the functionality appears to fit what I’m looking for and, inexpensive. Have come across some issues, like mask outlines show up in final pic, which is totally unacceptable but I have asked vendor if it is me or them. Any input, suggestions appreciated.

Have you tried Affinity Photo?

I second this and it's suite of apps as a PS style alt for cheap. Well maintained as well
