In response to a Sen. Booker asking for bipartisan agreement, he said, "I think that's a great idea. We should have bipartisan agreement. How about we call come together and say, 'Let's stop murders.' How about we all come together and say, 'Let's stop rape.' How about we all come together and say, 'Let's stop attacking pedophiles.'"
Is that just a slip of the tongue, like he meant to say "Let's stop pedophiles" or "Let's attacking pedophiles"? This sounds like a Bushism.
100% a slip of the tongue (or he said it, but didn't mean what it sounded like he meant.) Even I wouldn't accuse Ted Cruz of publicly defending pedos. But there is a bitter irony to his use of this phrase in the midst of Republican Congresspeople bending over backwards to stop the release of the Epstein files.
I think he meant to say President Trump, and the internal label he uses for Trump came out.
From context, it would seem so, but it's Ted Cruz, so we'll never know.
The pedophiles were attacking and he wanted to stop them. The non attacking ones he cool with.
