A place to politely discuss the tools, technique and culture of photography.

This is not a good place to simply share cool photos/videos or promote your own work and projects, but rather a place to discuss photography as an art and post things that would be of interest to other photographers.

Hello r/photography,

Apologies if I'm in the wrong spot but wasn't sure if this was appropriate for the official pinned thread. Looking for some advice for my upcoming wedding. I need to buy a backdrop for our greeting line and it's going to be framed by white / ivory wisteria flowers. Accent color of purple. I'm concerned there won't be enough of a contrast in the photos if I go with the usual recommended white/ cream.

I asked my photographer but he's going through some stuff with his dad so don't want to bother him too much but I gotta buy it asap cause wedding is next week.

Would appreciate any thoughts or advice.

You don't want your backdrop to be obtrusive. Consider using a deeper cream than you might otherwise. Or POSSIBLY a very pale purple. This could be tricky. Take a flower with you to look.

ETA deep green like foliage might work. Or even gold.
