Porzingis and Horford got technicals in consecutive games for dunking and not landing immediately. Both sprint dunk and a full swing off the rim. They both landed on the 2nd swing back
Tatum got a tech for a single clap last year
I’ve seen Bam get two techs this year for the same thing. So far it seems like I’ve been seeing weak techs called more frequently this year than in previous seasons.
Christian wood on the Lakers got one on a fast break dunk where his body was literally parallel to the floor while holding on the rim.
Refs wanted him to let go and fall on his back
I remember jumping off a bench and swinging off of a soccer net in middle school. It was the middle of winter and I didn't have leather gloves or something grippy, just fabric gloves of some kind. Slipped off the net at the apex of the swing and landed hard on my back on the grass. That hurt badly enough, falling from the height of a net onto you back on a basketball court seems like a good way to end your career
That was Hayes but yeah, refs were mad he didn’t actively try to destroy his body lol
I think that was Hayes.
Awful, like absurdly awful. I don't know how they keep making the refs worse year for year
that was Jaxson Hayes, but yeah, that tech was BS
The horford one i can understand. He kinda pulled himself up. Porzingis' tech was stupid as fuck, if he didn't do that he would've ended up like bogut
I was at the Bogut game, shit still haunts me to this day
I didn't see this specific one, but pulling yourself up can help to stop the swinging quicker.
Yea, those are always dumb.
i hate this rule it should be abolished, swing as long as you want - the other team can try to run up the court and get a 5v4 advantge
The Porzingis one last night even looked like it was safer for him to hang on than drop with full momentum.
