While I agree that they had some bad calls against them, I felt like the calling was bad for all (as usual). Jokic’s arms were held down for a large portion of the game and Steph had a few missed calls against him.
Not a few. All night. You say Jokic is scratched all over. We’ll look at Steph’s arms. The only way to guard Curry is bump him or grab him. What you see as lockdown defense is Curry being grabbed and bumped all night while refs say play on.
Bro, don’t act like Jokic doesn’t embellish. There were a lot of “light” calls on him, but he’s allowed to post up somebody like Steph with his entire mass. Steph embellishes, Jokic embellishes, but only 1 got the superstar whistle last night. I hate how the NBA constantly favors offense, give defenders a fuckingn shot!
Dude, Jok gets beat up more than anyone in the league. Just take the L.
What L? Both Steph and Joker get mauled, both Steph and Joker embellish to get the call, so how am I wrong? You see those scratches Joker? Steph arms look exactly like that. I love Jokers game, he just always so incredulous after every foul call/no call.
If you end up with Steph on Joker he should be able to bury him in the basket? That's just how mismatches work
Absolutely, but don’t call the foul. I believe Steph was called for a foul twice on Jokic and it was just body bumping. I would’ve been fine with the no call. Let him cook, but a foul isn’t necessary lol
I'd have to see the plays again. I think in general there's a trend in officiating to let players, especially smaller, players, get away with murder when playing post defense so anything that pushes against that trend I'm happy with.
(related, I played center haha)
