“Homage” lol. Just go to your AD and try on the pieces. Even if the exact model you want is not in stock, you should be able to try on other similar ones.
It's not as simple as homage=fake. Replicas with the genuine branding are 100% fake and illegal to buy/sell. If they have their own brand name clearly labeled, it's legal. It's not trying to deceive anyone on close inspection.
Are Smiths and Steinhart fake watches too? Or do they get a pass because they have "heritage" and use Swiss parts and are assembled in UK and Germany?
It's a gray line but it's an important distinction.
