A place to politely discuss the tools, technique and culture of photography.
This is not a good place to simply share cool photos/videos or promote your own work and projects, but rather a place to discuss photography as an art and post things that would be of interest to other photographers.

The other companies are going to wait and see how well it sells first. It's impressive but it weighs more than the RF 70-200 f/2.8 and it costs $3k. I mentioned it to a colleague who has to shoot a lot of events and they felt if it was going to weigh that much they'd rather have 2 bodies one with a 24-70 and one with a 70-200 to give them more range. Everything in photography is trade offs. If it sells like gang busters they'll know there is a market for $3000 lenses like that. If only a handful of people buy it because it's either too heavy or too expensive, then it's not worth going down that road.
