Curry only guy over 30 in the top 10. New era of basketball is here.
Considering the last 5 MVPs have been won by Embiid, Jokic, Jokic, Giannis, Giannis, the "new era" started a long time ago. In fact in a few more years this current generation will be overtaken by Luka, Tatum, Ant, SGA, Fox etc.
I don't understand how he's not in the top 5
Gotta boot someone. Who are you booting
Other guys been better and they’ve had an incredibly soft schedule
Me either. 30 PPG on 51/47/92 with 5.9 3PM per game is ridiculous so far.
How the fuck is Luka ahead of Steph? Maybe even same question for Tatum. Curry is leaps and bounds more efficient than both of them.
Better counting stats, perceived worse supporting cast.
The team standings probably
(Although it's literally a matter of 1-2 games haha, the sample size is so small)
I'm still in awe that Curry can play like this. Insane
The last league MVP to win it over 30 was Nash in 2005 (and he was just 30/31)
LeBron was the best player in the league for 5 years after his last MVP, but he needed to coast through the regular season to save his best for the playoffs.
I was about to say this. Players over 30 almost never win MVP. You’re right that it’s because they’re pacing themselves for the playoffs. I think it also has to do with narrative, just like CotY. Ascending players/teams Ardmore likely to win the awards than established guys who’ve won before.
