A place to politely discuss the tools, technique and culture of photography.

This is not a good place to simply share cool photos/videos or promote your own work and projects, but rather a place to discuss photography as an art and post things that would be of interest to other photographers.

Hi there, here a passionate of photography since 2008. I took photos until 2019, after that period i've "paused" my passio for for several reasons.

During ten years i've tried basically 2 type of photography: street photography (but i live far away from city) and landscape photography (i live near mountains, lake etc). (here some of my images: https://www.flickr.com/photos/devmat/)

I'm looking to "reconnect" my mind with photography and spend time for a progect to re-train my eyes to take images.

An idea is to take not "single" images but take a "series" of photo.

I've some ideas but: anyone suggest me some links to take inspirations or to see similar project?

Thanks

I enjoy watching documentaries on photographers. Doesn’t matter who it is, or the type of work they do really. But to see what they’re doing, their process, why they’re doing it and how they got there can be helpful. The way some artists can talk about their work sparks creating something to me at least. It’s a good reminder that a project can take a long time to complete, too.

This short doc on Paul Graham is a good example.

A recent one on Jill freedman made me want to get out and shoot. She’s a badass.
