The bears now have as many wins in 13 games using a backup QB as they do in 31 games when Fields starts. People keep talking about how bad the rest of the roster is (which is true) but it's crazy how other guys have somehow managed to get it done.

Came here to make this point. Whereas Fields' wins, rare as they may be, came against a few teams who ended up with winning records. He probably would have won the 6 games his backup won. Maybe even one more.

Which is still awful.

Justin played most of that Bengals game too

That was also peak QB sneak on your own 1 Giants to add some context

Also Dalton was the week 1 starter Fields' rookie year.

How exactly does it count as the backup if Dalton started all his games as the starting QB, then didn't start a single game once benched?

Green Bay education is bad but that's a reach. That's like counting Tannehills wins this season as backup wins against Levis.

That Bengals game was won when Burrow threw three INTs on three consecutive passes.

IIRC one went for a pick 6, one put us in the redzone immediately, and one was still on their side of the field. I think we kicked a FG with the redzone one and punted the other. And they still almost came back and beat us.
