so i went to best buy explaining my problems knowing i’ll prob need a hard drive and i was right. he recommended me 2 that seem pretty good, the specific one that i liked was the samsung portable ssd t7 shield (2tb), it is on sale for $119. i told this to my mother, obviously i saw the price so i was hoping she would buy it for me in the meantime while i get some shifts to pay for it. but she just brushed it off and started to look on amazon for one for about 70$ and i have a feeling this won’t end well. and last time i didn’t speak up about what i thought i got stuck with a nice but slow computer. i feel like the samsung hard drive would be a great investment bc i am constantly moving with it for school and it seems difficult to damage - but what do y’all think?

Whatever t ssd have the same ssds that go inside computers. Go to computer parts store and get a 2.5 ssd from a manufacture like samsung, crucial, gigabyte etc.. And get a sata to usb 3 cable. Congratulations, you have an external ssd drive for cheap.
