I am curious to see what this sub thinks about this matchup. Usually, espn and other media sites put their names in the same tier in 7-10 range.

Who do you think is better between the two players? What about greater?

Bird have 3 Straight MVPs. Kobe only have 1 MVP.

Bird have 3 rings with 2 FMVP. Kobe have 5 rings with 2 FMVP.

But as for skills.

Kobe is the better scorer and defender. He also have the better work ethic. Bird is the better Shooter, Rebounder, and way better Passer.

But overall, who do you think is better and/or greater?

Scottie Pippen, Patrick Ewing, Charles Barkley, Dominique Wilkins, Adrian Dantley, Moses Malone, Julius Erving, Dennis Rodman, Bernard King, Isiah,Thomas, Joe Dumars, Sidney Moncrief, Reggie Miller, Bob Lanier, Bobby Jones, Maurice Cheeks, Jack Sikma, Bob McAdoo, Artis Gilmore, George Gervin, etc.

All of these players are in the Hall of Fame and played against Bird in the Eastern Conference during his career.
