It's all about perspective. She has a much more rapid and accelerated vision than you.
You don't seem to understand the purpose of the ice there. Look at it from her view and you might see in way you weren't aware was even within existence, let alone, even, such choice that you can make.
If I wanted a rapid and accelerated vision, I would ask a speed skater
