They won't punish a defending MVP on a flop. Gamblers wouldn't like that very much.

Man, Embiid is never going to stop flopping. You can't average 10-12 fta's per game and then just average 6. It's a painful process to end the flops

He flopped the first game of the season and still didn’t get shit lol. Giannis stole the ball from him, didn’t touch anything but the ball, and Embiid just fell for no reason lol

They just aren’t gonna call that on superstars

Gary Trent Jr was called for flopping because he took some exaggerated steps back after getting a shoulder put into him at half court, he did not even fall. Embiid not getting a flop call after doing a kickflip mctwist in the middle of the lane but GTJ getting called for taking 2 steps backwards is the type of egregious officiating this league is known for.
