I love watching people getting so mad over Embiid but at the same time he is balling out so they canβt really say shit π
NBA - Main
Game analysis, highlights and everything else that is happening in the NBA.
To explain to people who don't understand how to fall to protect yourself, he got tangled up trying to spin around the defender so was on his way down, it's safer to fall on your back so he continued to spin to try and land on his back which he successfully does. Trying to brace yourself with an extended arm is increasing your risk of getting it snapped, if he tried to keep his feet more planted on the floor he could have twisted a ligament.
Youβre blind. He completely stops, fully stationary, before spinning and falling to the ground.
Clear blocking foul. The defender is still moving his feet during contact and Embiid is trying to avoid falling on top of him
He didn't need to do a 360 though. That's why people are calling it a flop/exaggeration. But yeah, the defender moved a bit at the end otherwise it could've been an offensive foul.
Sixers fans are completely incapable of admitting Embiid is the bigger flopper of all time.
Sixers fans will be like βnope, the defender moved 2 inches to the left which means Embiid actually gets to elbow them in the headβ
Defenders are allowed to move their feet when drawing a charge how many times do people have to be told this
Looks like some dolphin shit at sea world
The man is too reckless with his body
I know this sounds crazy but he supposedly does this on purpose to protect his body actually it is how he has been less injury prone the last 2 seasons, as he used to fall on particular parts of his body causing injuries now he makes sure he lands in a way that spreads out the force of falling. https://www.nbcsports.com/nba/news/joel-embiid-falls-down-a-lot-because-his-doctors-told-him-to
βI was told that every time I feel like Iβm in a situation where itβs going to be some type of extreme [weight] on my leg, Iβve got to dive or just roll onto the floor. So thatβs why I do it.β - this explains a lot thanks for posting...so funny tho and I can't tell if he's trolling or if his docs really said that. haha.
I mean he had a foot injury that kept him out right after he was drafted, and basketball is just a tough sport for your feet (amplified by being a giant like Embiid) so I believe it
You shouldn't fall with full force onto your joints at his weight. I'm sure the dipshit teenagers in this thread will understand.
Man became a human torpedo.
It is so flopping that becomes impressive
I laughed out loud in the office. embarrassing for both of us
Can someone please edit dolphin noises in?
Shooting stars material
I'll never understand what people like about that player
If the two players below the rim were a bit closer they could have said goodbye to their legs
I'll never understand what people like about that player
Looks like he's copying Alex Ovechkin's goal vs Coyotes circa 2006.

Title had me intrigued in the first half not gonna lie. But in the second half, I was like, of course.
Peak Magikarp
Title lives up to expectation.
Pathetic
Did the refs call a flop?
Defensive foul obviously. Nba in 2023
Atta boy, Floppy!!!
That should be a fine
It was a double flop
Thatβs a huge, huge man just recklessly throwing his body near peoples legs
wow man
Embiid gets the best whistle in NBA. This is a charge and a flop. Yet the officials reward him. Pathetic.
The sad part is most people seem to think this is a clear block. See "the defenders feet are still moving when contact happened". It's so ridiculous that this is what decides what is a block or a charge, Embiid just randomly throws his body against the defender but because his left feet twitches half a second before the contact it's a block
MVF
We could of used your β360 dolphin diveβ energy in game 7 against Celtics bro. He always goes all out on a team like the pacers π
How is this a defensive foul?!?!
fake mvp smh
Disgusting
