What are the steps to becoming a conflict photographer, working in the tougher areas of the globe?

  1. Buy a camera. Learn how to use it.
  2. Pick a conflict.
  3. Fly (12 hours at most) to conflict.
  4. Make friends with one side.
  5. Take lots of pictures of interesting things. If it bleeds it leeds.
  6. Market images to media outlets or internet moneymakers.
  7. Make money to support further existence.
  8. Try to stay alive.
