I really want to get one since 11/11 has good d eals on them, but I’m not sure if I need one.

For those of you who have one, what DAP do you use? Do you think it’s worth it?

I’m not going to buy one for purported claims of better sound quality or whatever; it would mainly be a convenience thing / separating out my phone from vs my music (like a dedicated iPod).

The only thing that's good about a DAP is a headphone jack and some of them have knob, most of them also have that extremely percise volume control. Other than that, as my experience goes, I had gone through 3 of them and all 3 of them are bad in some way. The one thing that all 3 of them have are extrememly poor performance and bad software support. One of my DAP would completely shutdown if I plug it in as a DAC for my computer.

I would personally just get something like a LG phone and use it as a DAP since it has very good DAC chip inside it.

LG V20 has entered the chat.

QUAD-DAC has made your ears happy.

V20 also has that longevity in mind with easy replaceable battery, Micro SD card support with LineageOS support. I love that phone.
