THIS! This is why I am not going to the US.
They already have my fingerprints (as does the RCMP) when I entered the US prior to becoming a Canadian citizen. After becoming one the process was so streamlined and quick it was a non issue.
But I will not subject myself to this kind of indignity.
If you are wondering why the RCMP has my fingerprints, it is because part of the process of obtaining a permanent residency you need to submit your fingerprints. All immigrants going through that process have to.
No DNA or facial information is required, at least not when I did it.
Can confirm. I went through the same process and have no desire to return to the US under the current administration.

This administration nor any following one until they repair the damage and fix the faults in the systems that allowed someone like Trump to get elected twice.
This is one of the very many reasons why I am not going to the USA.
