The Heat are 8-4, No. 3 in the East, and are also one of three teams in the league without a double-digit victory.

They do have, however, a positive point differential now (+5).

Is this really surprising???? Lmao. Last season the heat were injured most of the season which was why they were so low in the conference. Year before that they were #1 and the roster hasn’t even changed that much. I can definitely see them holding a top 3 or 2 seed if they remain healthy.

I mean, you say that but despite the fact that everyone knew what you’re saying, it didn’t stop everyone from collectively having amnesia and acting like “jimmy butler, bam, and the jv high school bball team losers have stumbled into the Finals.”

Like ppl could’ve been saying “this is not a true 8 seed; they’ve had injuries and were #1 last year” but this sub loves to incessantly clown on and insult the Heat and then when the Heat inevitably exceed expectations, ppl go “but we knew they were gonna be great! They were in the finals!” Except that they also spent months saying the Heat post szn run was fluke, fools gold, dumb luck with a bunch of mediocre nobodies.

Biggest factor last year on top of bad shooting luck was a gaping hole at the 4 after PJ left. Haywood Highsmith is like a younger PJ and we've been undefeated since he came back from injury. If we have that strong, elite defensive shooting 4 next to Bam then we're a force.
