I had a pair of Sennheisser HD660S that I tried to sing over to no avail, however my new/used sony MDR-Z1R pair is letting me sing over it with my deep voice.

Can anyone shine a light on why an open back wouldn't and a closed back is?

Also, IDK guys, the general opinion of owners is that it is the greatest you can get when your listening to anything and everything. Especially popular music.

Mate, meme-monday was a few days ago, you gotta wait for that, the MDR-Z1R is an actual mid headphone, not even close to TOTL

Sometimes I wonder whether posts like these are real or high level trolls. This might be the headphone equivalent of the famous Reddit post where a guy claimed to get in trouble for eating dinner with his girlfriend's family and pretending he didn't know what potatoes were. Most likely fake but still hilarious.

There was a post last week where someone got to audition the HE-1 and complained that it was "mediocre." I started typing a response then just closed without saving ... not worth the time.

Isn't it by definition the TOTL for the MDR series? I took TOTL to mean the highest offering for a series of headphones.

Not saying anything about their quality as I never heard them.
