Drugs and a heavy injury is all I needed. Lost 20kgs (44 lbs) in two weeks and haven’t ever regained them.

Usually people gain weight because of those things.

Yeah well the drugs in question are cigarettes and weed. And the weight lost was mostly muscles. /s in case anyone couldn’t tell Would not recommend a permanent nerve injury just to fucking lose some weight

I injured my back and had great difficulty leaving my bed for a long time. As a result, I stopped adequately feeding myself. Previously I would eat three meals a day, including one between midnight and 2am (when my family was asleep). Getting from my bed to the kitchen involved going down and coming back up a flight of stairs, which was a major ask with my injury.

As a result, besides a few non perishable snacks I kept on my nightstand, I ended up pretty much just eating what my wife was available to prepare and bring to me. She is loving and caring. I literally don't know what I would or even could have done without her support. However, we have a kid and my wife has a life, so she wasn't always around when I was hungry; in general, that meant I was mostly eating one full meal a day. It was not uncommon for me to have under 1000 calories.

I'm not exactly sure of the timeframe (or what I weigh now), but I lost thirty pounds.
