Almost 39 and he's somehow having his most efficient season ever. Looks way more explosive than he did in the playoffs and has good lift on his jumpshot again. Dude might fuck around and still dominate into his 40s.

And some idiots argue with me that he isn't a top 10 player anymore.

And some idiots argue with me that he isn't a top 10 player anymore.

my test for this is this: if there was a winner take all game tomorrow, who would I take?

I can tell you there are NOT 10 guys I'd pick before Lebron.

Tbf, while his stats are insane for his 21st season, they are fringe top 10 this season by almost every metric. His numbers would have easily been top 5 10 years ago, but stats have gotten wild and there are a lot of players putting up crazy numbers.

Honestly who even cares if he’s top 10 or not. The fact that he’s carrying a storied franchise in the lakers on his back at his age, with the minutes he’s playing and the role that he has, is just completely mind boggling.

As with everything else Lebron has achieved, it’s ultimately gonna come down to whether he wins the ultimate prize in a championship. But you just can’t help but respect what he’s doing because it just wouldn’t be possible without the absolute dedication to train and invest in keeping his body and mind healthy. How many other players that are highly paid do we see investing in their longevity the way we’ve seen Lebron do? He’s probably the ultimate athlete in seeing the bigger picture on and off the court. You don’t have to be a Lebron stan to recognize it.

Right people make way too big a deal whether someone is #11 or #12 vs. #9 or #10, when who cares. That's pretty much the same value player and still fantastic to be doing in season 21, and the difference says more about what other players are doing.

Honestly I don't think it's reasonable to expect LeBron to win another chip. It isn't impossible that the Lakers do it this year but the rest of the league is so strong and their best player is 39 years old. Can we just appreciate how good he is without griping about his legacy or comparing him to Jordan?

[–] ploply67@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago (1 children)

its absolutely unreasonable to expect him to be able to carry this team to win a chip with his age and this team, especially with how loaded some teams are now. And thats what makes it so fucked, is there is a real chance he could because hes still so freaking good

[–] Mroagn@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Yeah, absolutely. If he somehow wins it all this year (or had done it last year) I think he's the greatest of all time no contest

People ranked Kawhi higher, when Kawhi was injured lol

Man I’m a huge Lebron fan but right now he just isn’t top 10 in the league, defense is too poor to be anywhere near top 10

[–] DEEZLE13@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Ain’t no way you made that list with a straight face lmao

[–] Tatum-Better@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

He's better than booker, sga , kawhi and halli

[–] ginger_snap214@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

halli and kawhi?

yo pass the blunt bro

[–] methodeum@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago (1 children)

no fucking way you put Kawhi above LeBron man are you taking the piss

[–] firetaco964444@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

A healthy Kawhi at his best can play better than LeBron, but as of right now, LeBron is still better.

[–] beenebk_@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Lebron is terribly clear of Hali and is better than Sga & booker lol

[–] Funny-Transition7869@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago (1 children)

26/8/6 is terribly clear of 25/4/13 on better efficiencies?

[–] beenebk_@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Looking at raw stats doesn’t exactly make you better lol

[–] KingVibrant@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago (1 children)

He’s definitely top 5, I’m not taking anyone in the NBA besides Jokic and Giannis in a playoff series and I’m being so dead serious.
