I feel sorry for them. But then again, this is what they want.
They oppose making parking expensive.
They oppose bus lanes

They oppose any measure that might reduce car dependency.
Here’s an idea: If we have people live in their cars, we can eliminate housing and parkland and successfully turn all land into highways!
There is a french graphic novel from 1974 where the story is exactly that: people spend so much of their live in the car that the government device to just transform the whole country into a giant highway with oriole living in self driving car constantly moving.
