Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
- Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing other users of being bots or paid actors.
- No memes, trolling, misinformation, or low-effort posts/comments (including reposts). If you see posts like this that anger you, do not engage. Report, block, and live a happier life than they do. Any slap-fight is subject to comment removals. Fights full of rule violations will result in temporary bans to cool off.
- No manipulating votes via bots or alt accounts; this will result in permanent bans. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in an account ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be permanently banned.
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules and use critical thinking when reading, posting, and commenting. Users that repeatedly have comments or posts removed, weaponize reports, or violate the code of conduct, will be banned.
All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users. The reason(s) behind moderator action(s) are publicly available through the Modlog.

Came into the comments expecting people would pile on boomers, as per usual. Was pleasantly surprised to find that most people are getting the message that it's a class war.
The idea that boomers are "hoarding America's wealth and power" is ludicrous.
I'm GenX, and I'm trying to pay off my house, so my son will have the option of being a homeowner when I die. I think it might be the only chance he'll have.
Hold on a minute billionaires are to blame but boomers aren't helping by bootlicking them. And yes hoarding what they have too. Some refuse to retire, and some like my dad got millions and doesn't want to let anyone of his children get red cent.

Billionaries AND boomers are to blame. Just because many boomers aren't reaping the benefits of their dogshit voting habits doesn't mean they didn't have a hand in the current situation because of their voting habits.
At the same time those boomers, through their own ignorance mind you, were sold a bridge that didn't exist.
Democracy in a capitalist economy is an illusion. Boomers didn't vote for this, it was foisted on them. Neither party fulfills the promises they make on the campaign trail, unless the promise is to an oligarch.
As someone who phone banks regularly: They absolutely did. I spoke to hundreds of registered Democratic Boomers. They hated Sanders.
Sure they voted, but they didn't vote for this. Remember, boomers are the most propagandized generation in the most propagandized country on Earth. Ignorance shouldn't be an excuse, but most boomers genuinely do not know when they vote against their own interests. They are pawns, while the Kings and Queens laugh to see them blamed. And that pisses me off a lot more than ignorance.

Why are houses more unaffordable for your son than they were for you? It's totally not hording, just boomers being unwilling to build a better world for their children and grandchildren.
Just make sure to put it in a irrevocable trust now so the nursing homes don't take it there's a 5 year look back period.
