Maybe I should have worded it differently. I’d wager that Lemmy, as is, is very few Lemmy users’ ideal platform, mainly because it’s very small. For instance, while it is a filter bubble of sorts, the small user base makes it hard to filter content to your preference. It’s more or less a take it or leave it proposition.

May I’m projecting, but at least I’m here seeking refuge from algorithmic enshitification, not necessarily the mixture of Linux memes and random politics I’m getting.

Not saying I hate it – many things I’m very fond of – just that it’s not all that I want in a platform (as is).

I see. I agree there are definitely a lot of niches I would enjoy that are missing, but I do enjoy what is here for the most part.

I agree! My main complaint isn’t that I’m here, it’s that I wish more people were here. Maybe in a few years there will be better integration with other ActivityPub platforms. It’s already loads better than when I first came over in 2023.
