News
Welcome to the News community!
Rules:
1. Be civil
Attack the argument, not the person. No racism/sexism/bigotry. Good faith argumentation only. This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban. Do not respond to rule-breaking content; report it and move on.
2. All posts should contain a source (url) that is as reliable and unbiased as possible and must only contain one link.
Obvious biased sources will be removed at the mods’ discretion. Supporting links can be added in comments or posted separately but not to the post body. Sources may be checked for reliability using Wikipedia, MBFC, AdFontes, GroundNews, etc.
3. No bots, spam or self-promotion.
Only approved bots, which follow the guidelines for bots set by the instance, are allowed.
4. Post titles should be the same as the article used as source. Clickbait titles may be removed.
Posts which titles don’t match the source may be removed. If the site changed their headline, we may ask you to update the post title. Clickbait titles use hyperbolic language and do not accurately describe the article content. When necessary, post titles may be edited, clearly marked with [brackets], but may never be used to editorialize or comment on the content.
5. Only recent news is allowed.
Posts must be news from the most recent 30 days.
6. All posts must be news articles.
No opinion pieces, Listicles, editorials, videos, press releases, or celebrity gossip will be allowed. All posts will be judged on a case-by-case basis. Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.
7. No duplicate posts.
If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.
8. Misinformation is prohibited.
Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.
9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.
All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.
10. Don't copy entire article in your post body
For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

It does create a war crime. It can't yet be declared until the case is heard. Will it be heard and considered in court? Will Israels war crimes be heard and considered in court?
sure, right after they get to all of Russia's war crimes in Ukraine. Any day now. Yep.
fuck
And Ukraine war crimes against Russia? They've been using unmanned "killbots" which don't have the ability to accept a surrendering soldier.
yes, to kill soldiers; russia uses drones to hunt and kill civilians.
sorry, if russia hadn't started the stupid war they wouldn't be in this shitty position to start with. I have ZERO FUCKING SYMPATHY for putin's shit show, slava ukraine!
Using mustard gas to kill soldiers is a war crime. The key determining factors for a war crime are typically excessive cruelty, and indiscriminateness. Mustard gas cannot tell the difference between a soldier holding up a white flag and one that is about to charge at you. Hence a war crime.
Some stuff that typically doesn't factor into something being a war crime: is the other side really bad; is it used to kill soldiers; is it effective.
I'm not saying Ukraine is committing war crimes. I don't know. But what I am saying is that "they're using it on soldiers" is not a counterargument. And what I'm also saying is that just because they're in the right in this conflict does not mean they're incapable of committing war crimes.
if vatnicks didn't want to fertilize ukrainian soil they should stay the fuck out of ukraine
Look, I'm not saying Ukrainians defending themselves is a bad thing. But, and I know this may be controversial, war crimes are a bad thing. And I'm going to get even more edgy and contrarian: I don't think anyone should commit war crimes.
Do you think war crimes would be justified in Ukraines defense? Do you think it would be ok for Ukrainians to torture PoWs to get information? Do you think they should be allowed to keep ethnic Russians in concentration camps the same way America did for the Japanese? Because if Ukraine were to start doing these things (or if it turned out they were doing these things), that would be cause for me to start doubting whether they were the good guys in this conflict.
the only evidence I have of war crimes are your aspersions.
I know the russians have been killing civilians indiscriminately.
Let me repeat for a third time, that I do not believe that Ukraine is committing war crimes.
Russia does not have the capability to use unmanned drones to hunt and kill civilians. Killing a surrendering soldier is a war crime, full stop. You are just as bloodthirsty as your demented pedophile president. Good luck with all that.
Pretty sure you know the truth.

Meanwhile, Russian soldiers surrender to drones often:

If you're going to post bullshit, at least find something to back it up with.
Lol, I see you don't know the difference between an unmanned killbot and a piloted drone. Get back to me after you do some more reading.
