By the title alone, I though this was a joke app for cats.

What are some must have ROMs?

[–] xan1242@lemmy.dbzer0.com 15 points 5 months ago (3 children)

Ridge Racer

Gran Turismo

GTA Liberty City Stories

GTA Vice City Stories

God of War Ghost of Sparta

Maybe Tekken 5 DR if you can stand playing it on a portable device.

Loco Roco

And if you're into Yugioh - Tag Force are some of the best games in the series.

That's my list OTOH.

The SOCOM and Syphon Filter games are great if you want some shooters.

Ratchet and Clank Size Matters rocks too

Loco Roco is the game I grew up with. It's a really cute game where to pass a level is easy, but to ace a level hard. Give it a try!

Medal of Honor : Heros

Patapon and Lumines are my votes.

[–] fhqwgads@possumpat.io 5 points 5 months ago

Warning: Papaton is borderline impossible when you combine Bluetooth headphone and controller lag.

Monster hunter portable 3rd with the English patch if you play with a controller. Phantasy star portable infinite 2 is good too

[–] PlasticExistence@lemmy.world 3 points 5 months ago

Outrun 2006

Mega Man Maverick Hunter X and Mega Man Powered Up are my two favorites.

Disclaimer: I'm a huge Mega Man fan.

No idea how well the controls will work, so faster-paced games like Star Wars Battlefront might be out the window. I got a lot of mileage out of Jeanne D'Arc back in the day with my PSP. It's a fun JRPG tactics game, à la Final Fantasy Tactics.

Rengoku: Tower of Purgatory

The first one if you really love some jank in your third person ARPG games and are a bit of a(huge) masochist. The second game is the real must have imo, a lot less jank but I'd still recommend being a bit of a masochist or at least enjoy fast "stamina" based action combat like FromSoft titles.

Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker

Patapon 2/3

Persona 2 innocent sin

Persona 2 Eternal Punishment (look for the English translation of the psp version) (IS and EP are 2 parts of the same story you have you play them in that order)

Persona 3 Portable (p3p is more beginner friendly then p2 but imo the p2 duology is better)

God of War (chains of Olympus and ghost of Sparta)

Kingdom hearts birth by sleep

GTA liberty city stories and vice city stories

gitaroo man lives

[–] lastrogue@lemm.ee 1 points 5 months ago

Crimson Gem Saga if you enjoy JRPGs.

[–] Chadsalot@lemmy.world 3 points 5 months ago

Congrats guys

I already downloaded it, but it’s way too late at night and I read the title as “PPSSPP has been removed from the iOS App Store” and I was about to freak out
