/c/TenFoward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!

Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.

~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.

~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.

~ 3. Use spoiler tags. This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.

~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.

~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.

~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.

~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'

~ **8. Political commentary is allowed, but please keep discussions civil. Read here for our community's expectations.

Fun will now commence.

@jawa21@startrek.website for realizing that the line used to be "want to be added to the sidebar?" and capitalized on it. Congratulations and welcome to the sidebar. Stamets is both ashamed and proud.

As a fellow 4-6er, I hope your tomorrow is a 3.

Oh on a real pain scale it's usually 2-3 these days thanks to medication. I was just going by O'Brien faces. Sorry yours is worse, I hope you find solutions. I've been to 10 enough times myself. Thankfully not in many years.

How's your issue that you went to the clinic about?

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 3 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Not better yet, but we're working on it. That actually isn't a pain issue. I have two wonderful illnesses. The pain thing is a nerve disorder called atypical trigeminal neuralgia.

I won the genetic lottery for sure.

I won the genetic lottery for sure.

You and me both, brother. My doctors have conferences about me because I've got some rare conditions that make me an interesting case.

Do you think we can speak with someone in charge of this whole existence thing? We didn't even buy any genetic lotto tickets! How did we win so much?

There are those aliens who created all the humanoids in the galaxy. Where do we contact them?

There's always at least 1 thing in my body experiencing a 6. Today it's my right shoulder.

Mild O'brien

[–] GrymEdm@lemmy.world 7 points 5 months ago

Neither are my OC, just found proof that O'Brien's suffering is the universal yardstick against which all other travails are measured.

I don't see keiko in any of these, so 11?

[–] Bebo@literature.cafe 2 points 5 months ago

Around 5-6 I'd say.

As a reference, O'Brien at zero is the equivalent of an 11/10 on the average human pain scale of ten.
