Usually some form of the name "log flume". It exists at most water parks.
Oh I should've specified, I meant the joke name of the ride like (this is the exact moment I realized I'm actually an idiot and missed the entire joke because it's a CAPTAINS LOG )

That episode was excellent, probably in my top 2 or 3 of all trek.
I'm a white guy and I grew up in an all white town, never really knowing about racism until I moved out to university. I don't know how black people felt about it, but that episode made me feel a lot and I think it did a good job showing how unfair and arbitrary racism was. The scene with the cops was so awful and horrifying, and the editor trying to be reasonable but actually just enforcing racism was so frustrating and sad to watch. There's a lot packed into one hour.
Not a lot of TV makes you feel that way, I had to stop watching and sit with it after that one.
Looks more useful than the Captain's Yacht.
