Found safe and alive! I wish they'd put that in the title of the article but of course they want you to click on it.

Any word on why she was there?

[–] Bilbo_Haggins@lemm.ee 26 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Sparse on details but she was with an older man who was not her relative so I'm not hopeful it's a good reason. 😣

Well based on what the article states, it says she "expressing unhappiness and saying she wanted to leave home." Which can mean alot of things, she could have a terrible home life, undiagnosed depression, been coerced into that line of thought by the man or even something else.

We'll have to wait for more information to co.e to any real conclusion. At least she was safe. That's what truly matters.

It's great that she's been recovered alive and safe. But I generally question why this little girl felt so alone and so desperately wanted to leave home that she was seeking it from older men online? It also stands out to me that she messaged her dad from a new Facebook account to tell him that she was ok and not to look for her.

I hope she gets the help she needs for the causes as well as whatever the man might have done to her while she was abducted.

Dude have you met teenage girls? No not like that you freak. On average they're at least 50% insecurity by volume, and chances are their families ain't helping. Not surprising given the hell they have to endure just for being female.

And the Internet opens many doors, most of them the wrong door

Second time I read someone ran away from home and they got tracked by online interaction with their old life. This case it was a phone number on the account.
