Feels a bit like it would be part of a string of events indicative of the studios sort of crumbling. The sorts of things only industry insiders would be privy to usually.
I didn't care for Interstellar, but destroying 70mm prints is fuckin heresy.
70mm spools are huge, but I'm sure they could've found a better alternative than destroying them...

I guess I'm glad that I did get to see it in 70mm. Fucking shame they elected to destroy all the prints though. I would expect a studio to keep at least one for remastering purposes at the very least.
