For me, it may be that the toilet paper roll needs to have the open end away from the wall. I don't want to reach under the roll to take a piece! That's ludicrous!

That or my recent addiction to correcting people when they use "less" when they should use "fewer"

If a tree falls in the forest and no one is around to hear it does it make a sound?

The answer is unequivocally "NO".

A sound is not a sound until it vibrates the listeners eardrums. Before that it's just a pressure wave. Ergo, if no eardrums are around, there is no sound...
