50% of the wealth in America is now owned by the top 1%, they can effectively ignore what we want and turn a more reliable profit, that is, of course, until the bubble pops.

What's crazy is in my area, most people are Cajun, the Cajuns faced so much discrimination, deportation and even an attempted genocide, and successful assimilation, Cajun French is essentially a dead language. Their Great and great great grandparents were facing discrimination for being accepting of people of color and for not speaking English. Yet due to lack of education of their own history most Cajuns don't realize they're perpetuating the very injustices their ancestors went through, hell, there's a huge population of cajuns that are POC and don't even realize it!

That particular 360 is the new Xbox 360 that came with the Kinect and is only about 13 years old

I didn't say either of those things. I said it's in poor taste to specifically make fun of the most vulnerable people in a society in your clapback.

So why would you make fun of the people also effected by that? It just seemed like mistargeted aggression

Seems in poor taste to make fun of some of the most tragic parts of our society imo

Edit: I'm not saying that some sort of protest or criticism of America is not warranted, I definitely think it is. I'm saying doing so by making fun of the most vulnerable people in our society, that the system has failed the most, is in poor taste and comes off as punching down at the victims of the system rather than punching up at the system itself.

I fully agree with you

Protestors are coming to these events with no weapons in hand, I think it is perfectly reasonable, given what we've seen, for protestors to be carrying guns like the black panthers did. ICE needs to know that thier violence will not go unopposed, the need to SEE that.

I feel like that's the type of thing that should be illegal to ask

People say it feels like old reddit and it does to a degree, but in other ways it feels better!

People are so interested in finding alternatives to the systems that we hate, and actually are passionate about supporting those things and developing them into useable and enjoyable platforms.

People are interested in spreading the word about the importance of unions and the climate crisis. Idk if those posts just get squashed on reddit, but I've seen SO much more talk of workers rights and informing others about them.

It just gives me hope about the future for once. Like things are happening that are different, and I know that we can't be silenced here. This is a platform by the people, for the people, and that can't ever be fully taken away.

I hope I'm not costing the dev lol
