Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.
Example:
- Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
- Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
- No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
- Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

That's all the rules!

That's the whole goal this election. The conservatives are going to interfere with the election in as many places as they possibly can. All of the chaos they create they'll then leverage to refuse to certify the election, then they'll move proceed with a contigent election because the chaos they've created means we don't have enough actual electoral votes to complete the election, then they'll all vote Trump, and then someone who lost the electoral college and the popular vote will have stolen the election.
We're absolutely fucked.
EDIT: I wonder if it's possible for the current administration to do anything to impact this potential. You'd think the American people would support an executive order blocking contingent elections as it robs them of their vote. Short of something like that happening, I'm terrified that there's nothing that can be done to stop them.
Do you think it would help or hurt the situation if Biden were to make a state of the union address and call out the imminent threat of Republican-led chaos causing this situation? Would shedding bright light publicly on it cause the people responsible to scurry away like the cockroaches they are?
Putting aside the obvious concerns, a mayor doing this and using "it's the same as the maintenance guy" should be a red flag.
I've worked in companies where high-level people take it upon themselves to do operational work. It's at best pointless retail poltics, and at worst it's rampant bikeshedding.
Correct its not his job and at best case scenario it's introducing an appearance of impropriety.
Even if he isn't trying to influence national or state elections, he still has plenty of motive to influence local politics.
Mayor: [shoots some black guy] "What? It's the same as the cops."
Lol. This guy put on a hard hat to move an empty box with a dolly. That’s a flag right there that the guy has never done any kind of hard physical labor in his life. Charge his ass with felony election interference and fire his ass.
“This is no different than the maintenance guy moving it out there….”
Except…
- If the maintenance guy is union, he’s doing union work in contravention of union agreements
- moving something out because of a state law is different than moving something away in contravention of said state law
- the maintenance guy wouldn’t make it a press opportunity and dress up like a construction worker
The mayor is wearing a hardhat and loafers. Clearly needs training on appropriate ppe.
"I think mail in ballots aren't secure, so I'm taking away the boxes that are a more secure option than the mail." Their excuses for election interference make them look like idiots but the media is happy to go along with it.
Look at this wet napkin:
These are the people that demand their ideals be followed:
Republican official determined to make voting harder in Republican dominated community, not going to let facts or laws get in his way.
We should have special drop boxes that sock you in your stupid face if you try to fuck with democracy in the land of the free.
So? Because the box was now tampered with, what happens to the contents
