/c/TenFoward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!

Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.

~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Hating someone off of their race, culture, creed, sexuality, or identity is not remotely acceptable. Mistakes can happen but do your best to respect others.

~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.

~ 3. Use spoiler tags. This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.

~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.

~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.

~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.

~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon' and fuck over our artist friends.

Fun will now commence.

Oh is it time to play who wore it best?

[–] verity_kindle@lemmy.world 4 points 3 days ago

The tribbles? Boyle! The v neck and tousled hair? Kirk!

Chakotay's vanishing salt and pepper.

Now that’s a crime. He looked so much better with the gray.

I know, right! His 'do also changed so much, from a natural look to a longer cut with coloring and product worked in, perhaps in season 4? The au natural salt and pepper....far better.

He discovered hair dye and had it replicated.

If I'm assigning members of The State to my Enterprise, I think I'm putting Ken Marino in engineering. Tom Lennon is the captain with Micheal Ian Black as his cocksure Number One. In honor of Wanderlust I'd make Jo Lo Truglio ship's counselor/nudist.

Personally, I’ve always preferred Scotty with his TMP era mustache.

Yeah I could never get over Boyle's hair that final season. It was like an uncanny valley thing. Like something rather the corner of your eye was always wrong.

I thought we were comparing the quality for a moment. Cause Brooklyn Nine-Nine season 8 is good.

[–] njm1314@lemmy.world 4 points 3 days ago

Well after the first episode or two yeah.

If you ignore the tonedeaf copaganda, it was okay.
