Nothing like a family emergency to distract from existential dread, but the help of ~~a~~ my good friend made all the difference. Vague story short, everyone's fine and suffering minimized.

That said, I'm not sure the womanizing creep of a doctor is the best person to have my back. It didn't seem to actually help O'Brien much overall. They had a lot of fun in the Holosuites while Keiko was being shitty though.
Certainly not advocating Bashir's questionable choices and ethics, just the good parts where he was at O'Brien's side.
Also, I was the O'Brien in the scenario that needed help.
