Don't stop at Republicans! Do Democrats and Independents, and every other party who have and are serving!

Don’t threaten me with a good time.

The amount of cognitive dissonance I got from reading something MTG said that I actually agree with was nuts

[–] kryptonianCodeMonkey@lemmy.world 12 points 3 hours ago

Her arrival at the correct answer was done through a series of mental lapses, poor judgements and terrible ideas that plopped her exactly where she should be. Like watching an episode of Mr Magoo.

I feel you. I have this new super bitch of a boss, but she wore cute pants one day in September and it left me conflicted. I'm still pissed off about it.

[–] this_1_is_mine@lemmy.world 22 points 4 hours ago (2 children)

As in the pants were cute or she was cute in them cuz it's completely okay to like a pair of pants and not enjoy the person who's in them.

[–] GBU_28@lemm.ee 4 points 2 hours ago

Once a pants is associated with a bad ass you might struggle to separate the art from the artist.

[–] Today@lemmy.world 17 points 4 hours ago (1 children)

The pants were cute. I hate her so much i can't see anything attractive about her.

[–] SendMePhotos@lemmy.world 8 points 3 hours ago

Bruh I literally just told my husband "Fuck MTG for saying something that makes me agree with MTG!" due to this story.

Ill recover if Congress actually takes her up on it though.

Best idea she's ever had

[–] dhork@lemmy.world 97 points 5 hours ago (2 children)

Something something broken clock

[–] TachyonTele@lemm.ee 17 points 4 hours ago (1 children)

It's more like she's so fucking stupid and petty that she doesn't realize how it'll hurt her party.

[–] pearsaltchocolatebar@discuss.online 13 points 3 hours ago (2 children)

Her party elected a convicted felon, rapist, traitor, insurrectionist. Do you really think it matters?

[–] TachyonTele@lemm.ee 2 points 1 hour ago

She's creating strife when no one else in the party wants it. That does matter. Thier entire platform is Loyalty, and she's breaking rank.

Will it matter? Who knows. They're all assholes, it could go either way.

She's trying to extort her fellow Republicans into not releasing the report, not realizing that the public is saying, "HELL YEAH!" at the suggestion. What's sad is it might actually work, and they won't release anything.

[–] njm1314@lemmy.world 32 points 4 hours ago

Y'all are missing the implication of this. These comments think it's the public she's talking to here. She's talking to other Congress people with skeletons in their closets.

[–] _bcron_@lemmy.world 36 points 4 hours ago

Tulsi Gabbard also released a statement:

[–] kryptonianCodeMonkey@lemmy.world 10 points 3 hours ago

You love to see someone arrive at the correct answer through ignorant spite. Wow.

makes popcorn

What? Can't a man just make popcorn without it IMMEDIATELY being assumed to be a statement reflecting the imminent surge of corrupt behavior all coming to light across the entire GOP side due to MTG's own suggestion?

Are you saying I'm only making popcorn because I will treat this as an entertaining movie watching the cockroaches skuttle?

..........I mean, you're right, but daaaaamn. Why you gotta out me like that?

[–] Cheems@lemmy.world 5 points 3 hours ago

Did she stumble into a coherent thought?

[–] uberdroog@lemmy.world 2 points 2 hours ago

She is just as gross and opportunist. They will find the one example that isn't one of theirs and use it for the next 20 years. I'm all for it just never trust the snake.

[–] Adderbox76@lemmy.ca 11 points 4 hours ago

Even the stupidest person on earth gets one right every once in a while.

[–] TheGiantKorean@lemmy.world 5 points 3 hours ago* (last edited 2 hours ago)

I... agree... with MTG?

[–] Rentlar@lemmy.ca 18 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

Maybe this is a sarcastic suggestion that won't see any progress beyond showmanship. There is no low too low for the Republican party, but i wonder if there is integer underflow for situations like this.

Let all Ethics Reports be released? Then how about:

Forgive student debts to own the libs?

Shutdown fossil fuel extraction because they power space lasers?

Get rid of the lotteries and stupid stuff, end illegal immigration by making all immigration de facto legal?
